About Mobile Voting

Our mission is pretty simple: democracy is broken. The only way to fix it is by getting a lot more people to vote.

In late 2017, Tusk Philanthropies launched a campaign for Mobile Voting to increase voter turnout by making voting more convenient and accessible. This nonprofit, nonpartisan initiative is working to expand voting options across the country by adding mobile voting for all voters. Since 2018, we have helped fund pilots in over 20 elections across seven states – Colorado, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia – for a mixture of voters including UOCAVA and voters with disabilities.

About Tusk Philanthropies

Tusk Philanthropies is a nonprofit organization founded by Bradley Tusk, Founder and CEO of Tusk Holdings. Tusk Philanthropies has two areas of focus: Fixing our democracy by dramatically increasing voter turnout and participation in U.S. elections through mobile voting, and working to combat food insecurity through coordinated campaigns in states across the country and works to increase commitment to anti-hunger efforts on the federal level.

The 20 mobile voting pilots we've completed to date have shown that mobile voting is not only possible, but a preferred method of voting."
